How to access WhatsApp Communities:

In 2022, WhatsApp introduced communities allowing many group chats to be nestled under one “community”. When you click the above links they should take you directly to WhatsApp which will ask you if you would like to join the community.

Once joined, you should see the community in your Whatsapp and you will see that the community gives you access to the individual groups, which you can choose to join individually based on your own interests.

How to use WhatsApp Group chats:

While NIB admin has access to view and moderate all chats, most group chats are not actively moderated or controlled. The purpose of the chats is to serve as a platform to connect people with similar interests, for example shared hobbies or to share relevant information.

Some groups regularly organize activities amongst themselves, such as dance groups or beach volleyball which are popular activities. For some less common hobbies, feel free to say hello when you enter the group chat and take initiative to arrange a meeting!
